I searched through the archives, and I didn't see anything regarding a table built for the PBC. I know that a lot of people have them for their kamados...but why not the PBC? Is there a reason why it wouldn't work?
SWMBO has not seen the PBC yet. I have a distinct feeling that, in her mind, it will not go with the aesthetics of the patio. I figure a custom table that coordinates with other patio furniture will go a long way towards assuaging her feelings.
I've thought about trying to fabricate a way to put it in one of the Weber tables that you can get a kettle in...though I haven't found a way to get just the table. I agree that it would look better and also add some functionality to have some work space.
Anyone know the diameter of the PBC below the handles? The site says it's 25" including handles. I've found a BGE table on CL - he measured the opening at 21". I'm guessing I wouldn't want it to be against the wood, so I'd need a little (lot?) buffer space.
Equipment:
'88 Vintage Fire Magic gasser with over 4000 cooks to its credit
Large Big Green Egg
18 Inch Weber Kettle (Rescued from neighbor's trash)
Rotisserie for 18 inch kettle
Dyna Glo propane smoker
Pit Barrel Cooker
Smokey Joe with mini WSM mod
Garcima paella burner
Anova Sous Vide
Slaiya Sous Vide (gift)
LEM grinder, sausage stuffer and meat slicer (all gifts)
Best I can measure my (older) PBC: Diameter of the top rim and the two stiffening ridges is 19-1/4", diameter of bottom rim a little less. Diameter of the main part of the barrel is 18-3/8". Height without lid is 28-5/8".

If you're reasonably handy with basic electric hand tools, here's a video of a guy building a table for his BGE. It'd be pretty simple to adjust dimensions to the PBC.:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAxnpDejTlQ
I had a remarkably similar question, see the thread here for more ideas. I got talked out of it and into a small portable table, which has worked really well since I now also have a kettle and SnS, I can just move the table where I need it to be.
The search function on this site could be improved...
If you are on Facebook there is a closed group "Pit Barrel Nation". A gentleman on there just posted some awesome pics of table he is fabricating with a cabinet. I don't have permission to share them or know if he is a pitmaster member or not... but if you are on there facebook then check them out.

Honestly,When I cook with the PBC. I back my pick up to the cooker. I've got all my wood, flame, music and a cooler with my sauces and what not. I use the tailgate as a work bench when cooking. Its awesome. Plus, at 6' 6" I find that most tables are way to short for me to work on with out killing my back. This is why I don't care for using kettles. They are way to low to the ground for me. (So is the KBQ but it more than makes up for it) My tailgate is jus the right height for me.
Spinaker I usually just setup a little 2 or 4 ft resin table next to the PBC... But here was my quickie setup for a short competition cook a couple weekends ago... BTW... tied for 1st in pulled pork, 2nd in chicken, 3rd in ribs.... all on pbc
Spinaker not 100% but I've read of a number of guys doing it. I am mostly wanting it just for prep and finishing. Not going to have my hot water cooler or stuff like that on it. Read where some guys are cutting 45* angle leg extensions as well so they can rotate it to level it if on unlevel ground.
Spinaker , you can buy a whole long section of PVC piping for pretty cheap. To me it is an inexpensive method to try. Only going to need to raise it a foot to 1.5' probably. Shouldn't mess with stabilization too much.
