With the original grate flipped and turned 90 degrees over the hinged grate, you have enough room to fill bottom grate with ABTs while cooking something else above it. In my case yesterday, it was kielbasa.
It would be a bit of a hassle to cook something big and slow up there because you'll have to mess with hot grates to get the ABTs out of there when they're done
I'm trying to figure out how to raise that top grate even more without using two bricks. I'm not sure if there is enough room for bigger chicken wing drumettes without raising the grate more. I hate to lose that much real estate on the bottom with big ol' bricks there.
I'm far too lazy for awesome solutions like hanging racks on chains.
