Somewhere buried in the Pit Barrel thread, fzxdoc and Duanessmokedmeats have a guide that I use. Sorry, I wasn't able to find it but it says Between 1-4 hours, 40 briquettes in the basket and 40 in the chimney.

Grills:
Weber 22" Kettle Premium w/Slow N' Sear 2.0
Pit Barrel Cooker
Grilla Grills Chimp
W.C. Bradley & Co. Char Kettle CK-115 ~1980s Vintage Grill (inactive)
That is what I've also settled on for short cooks. (Although I tend to go the full amount for cooks above two hours just for peace of mind. Refilling a PBC in the middle of a cook is a pain.)Originally posted by Ace View PostBetween 1-4 hours, 40 briquettes in the basket and 40 in the chimney.
