I have owned all types of cookers. Assassin 17, WSM , Humphreys, Hasty Bake, PK, Kettle, OK Joe Barrel, Fast Eddy's, Old Country Offset the list goes on. I have come to the conclusion that after years of tinkering the best cooker ever (for me) is the Pit Barrel Cooker!! I love this thing, OK joe has so many more features and my fast eddys is better for ease and searing, the humphrey and the pint are better for capacity and refueling but just as a guy with a fan that likes to cook I don't think it's possible to beat a kettle/Blackstone/ PBC . There is no point to this post, I'm just cooking and smiling. And if you disagree that's because you are right when in your own backyard!! Happy 4th people ❤️

I have to note the irony of the phrase “after years of tinkering” given the PBC is perhaps the cooker in need of the least amount of tinkering.

Exactly!!! It was my first smoker after my divorce my ex threw away my cookers. Stopped bbq'ing. Then mom got me a smoker. It was an OG PBC with the phone number on it. It got me back into bbq joined this site right after. I love to learn so I went about grabbing every new style cooker i could find on marketplace. At one point I had 22 😂. Now my collection is drastically reduced after that journey I realize that momma knew best.
