We're on our annual family trip to the river. I brought my PBC, which worked well for hot dogs last night. Tomorrow, I'm going to cook ribs and chicken - but I just realized I forgot to pack my hooks! With all the chaos & drama involved in packing up, it's amazing that's all I forgot.
I am about 30 or so miles from a town with a hardware store, so I'll be making a trip today. I wanted to see if anyone has a suggestion on what I can grab that'll get me through this one cook.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I had to go into town earlier than I planned, so I missed some of the posts. I had trouble finding SS wire - I could only find braided wire and I didn't think that would be easy enough to use. I ended up at a place where the guy suggested I buy 1/4 inch steel rods that they could cut to length for me and I could bend into shape. He just suggested I put the wire on the heat for a bit to cure it after I shaped it. We ended up guesstimating that 14"rods should work. When I got back to the cabin, I started bending the rods to how I feel like the PBC hooks look. I'll be trying them out later today. Wish me luck! I'll update when I know how it all turns out.
The cook worked out great! I would've posted sooner, but internet connection was sloooooow. Everyone raved about the ribs and the chicken. Now that it's over and I see my PBC hooks, I see I should've bent the hooks slightly different - but all worked out. Pictures below. Sorry I didn't get photos of the finished product - I'm always too concerned with cutting and plating to think of pics. Once I poured the hot coals on the unburned coals, I laid the hooks on the coals for the 10 minutes of lid off to let them cure. I let them cool for the 10 minutes of lid on before hanging the meat.
