Maybe a dumb question, but no shame in my game. I was given a PBC late last year and plan to try it out for the first time this weekend. I did buy a drum dolly to move it around more easily. My question is: Can I cook on it while it sits on the dolly? Or will the bottom get too hot and melt the wheels?
My PBC rests on a dolly, pretty well since I’ve owed it, done many a cook on it. No issues with wheels getting too hot. I think you’re good to go and enjoy, it’s a consistent cooker
I’m sure you’re fine. My thinking goes like this: The barrel is too hot to touch when it’s fired up, but I barely feel any heat if I hold my hand a couple inches away from it. What will your first cook be?
