Just purchased the 18.5" (with all the bells and whistles)

I'm just plum tired of wide swinging temp variations from my pellet smoker. It's time to return to basics! I'm gobbling up all the posts here to help get started with this legend.

You done good... Pit Barrel Cookers are great and a snap to clean up the ash when done. I'll never get rid of mine.

You'll not be disappointed. Check out the Pit Barrel thread in cookers. A lot of good advice and information. Don't forget pictures.

I love seeing a PBC look like that. And cook like that. Well used and well loved.

Your PBC has stood the test of time like a champ. Mine is 12 years old too, in another month. It's still going strong as well. Best Mother's Day present to myself ever!

                Congrats on your purchase.

You're going to be surprised at the smoke flavor profile in food cooked in your PBC compared to that from a pellet cooker. In a good way, for most people.

Let us know how your first cook turns out.

Welcome to the fam! Hoping I get some time to fire it up this weekend. Been craving ribs and way overdue to get them rolling and will say it’s a rib cooking machine!

My PBC is my smoker of choice for pork butts. Truely a set and forget smoker. Just mop the butt occasionally and when it hits that internal temp, wrap and then later enjoy that smokey, barkey, delicious, tender BBQ pork.

                  Easy peasy.
