    One of those days...

    When the PBC is content hanging onto the perfect temperature, the sun is hot and beer is ice cold, family on the way to celebrate fathers day. It's days like this that make all those dollars and time, research etc. worth it. The days that remind us why we love barbecue and our country so much. I hope all of your days are picture perfect as well, and happy Father's day to all the dads out there!

    3 racks of baby backs on the pit now, 4 chicken halves going on in about 20 minutes, Weber kettle is ready to be fired up if needed to crisp up the skin. Potato salad is in the fridge and baked beans are going on the PBC to heat up while I carve the meat. (If you haven't made beans on your PBC DO IT!)

            I have to admit that I'm struggling a bit with the idea of beans on the PBC. I assume that the hooks aren't involved ... so what's your method?

              They go in a foil pan on the grate once I pull the chicken and ribs...only takes a bit to get them good and hot with a touch of smoke.

              AdamJG - Ah ... makes sense, thanks. I guess you could even do it all together at the same time (assuming a smaller load of hanging meats) if you had one of the PBC hinged grates ... might have to get one of those.

              Cook went well, ribs took longer than usual to come up to 200 with the two whole chickens of added volume...but that just meant more time for cold beer and good tunes outside.

                Those look good! I'm always looking for a reason to bbq on my PBC. The sun is shinning (I need to cook on my PBC), I have the day off (I need to cook on my PBC) etc... Anyone else w/ my problem?
