I have a question about my PBX. I recently moved and set up my smokers basically the same way they were set up at my previous home. However, at the new location, the coals in the coal basket only seem to burn towards the air intake at the bottom of the barrel, which makes for a very slow smoke. For instance, it took 4 hours to do these chicken halves, whereas in the past, it would have taken 1.5 hours. Do you have any suggestions?

Everything else being 100% the same, I assume that the new backyard faces a different direction to prevailing breezes and wind than the old one?
Otherwise I don't know enough about PBCs to guess what it could be.

I had something similar happen to me for the first time. I started using B & B briquettes. This was the only change I made. I never had an issue with Kingsford though I’m not saying this is the cause. It could be that because it takes B&B longer to light my chimney was not hot enough and did have enough to fully light the basket.
Maybe your charcoal was damp?
Did you crack the lid? If my for drops I find a 1/8” diameter twig and prop up the lid for 5-10 minutes. This gets it going.

2 Dot and 1 Chef Alarm
2 Temp spikes
4 Slo n Sears

Like said. Wind direction will mess with airflow though the barrel. And if I don’t see temperature I want stick a stick under the lib. But don’t turn your back on it. 🔥
