    Thanks to the PBC sub

Yesterday I took delivery of a PBC and hauled it down to our summer place. Still new to smoking and cooking with charcoal and wood but this cooker could not be easier. I made my best ribs to date! The info on this forum and this sub in particular made the purchasing decision easy but the step by step break down of how to start the fire and manage the temps is INCREDIBLE! I was literally cooking 30 minutes out of the box. The notes to double hook also came in handy - i'd have lost 1 or the 4 racks if I didn't take that advice. I wish I had taken a picture, they were a beautiful mahogany color, great bark and smoke ring (no wood) and only took 3.5 hours. Thanks PBCers!!!

Yep, that's the deal right there. Well said JCBBQ. Good food, affordable, great support, and fun. That's a PBC. Soon, there will always seem to be people showing up hungry at your cookouts. I got a lot of friends myself.
    Congrats.

Congrats on a great first cook on your new PBC, JCBBQ ! Those ribs sound mighty tasty.

When I first got my PBC, I would store it in the garage between cooks. Every time I walked through the garage I'd gaze at it lovingly. It's been over 2 years, the PBC has been moved to the deck with its own cover, and I still get excited on smoker day.

The PBC is the only cooker that I keep in the garage😀

I love to here from a new PBC owner. It is just too easy. I had similar success. Wait until you do a chicken!

Congrats on the acquisition! I've had mine for almost two years and consider it one of the better $300 expenditures I've made. Only two times has a rack of ribs dropped on me. I usually hook them on the third rib down rather than the second and carefully try to ensure as centered a piercing as possible... but I like to cook four-six racks at a time (other stuff hung along when four) so I don't usually have the free hooks although I *could* get another set...

The best part is when your guests bite into a rib and say "Oh wow!"

I've had my PBC for about a year and a half, and I LOVE it. I recently acquired my mother-in-law's unused, 17yr old Webber Kettle. Seriously, never been used. I will use the Webber for steaks, burgers and dogs, but my PBC for everything else.
