What kind of gasket would you use?

Hey guys, been a member for a while, the website is so rich in valuable information I haven't had a reason to post yet haha. In the picture, I have a slight gap where my firebox door closes on the bottom, maybe 1/8" to 1/4", I already have Lava Lock gasket lined around the rest of the pit, but do any of you have experience with their high temp gasket on areas like this? I'm curious if it would be able to handle those temps in that area. Thanks.

I used this gasket on a couple places on my firebox however I used screws and rivets to place as opposed to the RTV adhesive.

Good idea on the screws and rivets, that's definitely a much more durable option. Thanks for your help.

My bad, feel free to move it, I didn't see a section for standard smokers, I guess that would classify under the main grills and smokers page.
