(Edit: it 360 now!!) The standard OK Joe is going for 450, and the PBX is going for 450. So the days of comparing the Bronco to the PBC are behind us, and the PBX versus Bronco discussion is here. What do you all think? I think the PBX is a way better value, and Noah is back in the driver's seat regarding barrels based on capacity alone. The PBX needs a drum dolly, so with that considered, I'll kick the price up to 485 for the PBX in my lil fantasy world; still the better deal IMO.

I know I love mine. Great capacity. I am kinda done with the whole Chevy VS Ford thing but I would take a PBX over anything else when it comes to barrel smokers.

Yeah, I'm seeing less of the smoker comparisons. I love reading and participating in those discussions though lol. Or the (I have 500 bucks. What should I buy) topics. I'm doing a lil of both with this post, I've sold a bunch of my cookers, but I want a big barrel; I loved how my PBC cooked, so I'm contemplating the big boy. Thanks for the input!

It runs pretty much the same as the 30-Gallon rig. The main difference, other than the capacity is that the PBX has three rods, instead of 2. Which kinda threw me off at first. But it just means that you get to hang that much more. It also allows you to play around with arranging the meats you are smoking. tenphases

If you get one do not forget to buy the insurance.
I bought a PBX back on July 6th. It arrived July 8th, but it had a small dent in the side. I called customer service and left a message (it was Saturday) and told them about the dent, and was wondering if it would effect the cooking ability.
Called me back Monday after 20 minutes after they opened. Apologized for the damage, and it would not effect the cooker in anyway. But because I paid for insurance they were shipping me another PBX, and I can keep the other one.
Great customer service, and great cookers.
I used my PBX last Thursday and cooked 6.5lbs brisket, 2- 3.5lbs tri-tips, and a 9.3lbs bone-in pork butt at the same time. All came out delicious.

Weber Kettle 22; Broil King Signet; OKJ Bronco
Outside of capacity, no one has said why they believe the PBX is superior. I suspect they are quite similar, no?
