I know Noah doesn't recommend it but I am interested in modifying my PBC to accommodate a temperature control system and attaching a blower fan to the barrel. I have read the posts about using an Auber and the Heatermeter. Has any PBC owner attached a DigiQ DX2 yet? If so, what type of adaptor did you use to attach the fan? Has anyone used any other temperature control system to their PBC with success?

I am also using the DX2 on a Performer and am very happy. I am was thinking about using it on my PBC and Digi Q has an adapter they say should work, but I have changed methods on the PBC to those that Noah recommends and so far everything has come out fine. I use my Kettle for the precision fiddling.Last edited by JohnF; January 13, 2016, 08:09 PM.

Thanks for all the great feedback guys. Based on the input I ordered a DigiQ DX2 today and look forward to more constant temperature cooks in the future!

BigBear, I think you will be happy with it and how stable your Pit Temps will hold! The only problem I've had is the Pit Probe went bad, I had a Maverick 733 set up as well, I believed the wrong reading and slightly over cooked the Thanksgiving Turkey! Better Over Cooked than Rare? Dan
