Thanks for all of the tips! Happy with the PBC. I will definitely try some different rubs, but they are darn tasty

Halving them also less likely to fall. Looking pretty good for first run. Welcome fr Cincy Oh!
PBC is a smoking machine. Spatchcocked 17lb turkey in under two hours. Deelish!

👋 That’s good to know on the turkey … I am likely cooking the turkey on the PBC this year.

Those look great. I still remember my first PBC ribs. Suggest you order another set of hooks. That way you can cut them in half and less likely to have them drop into the fire. One day you will wish you had more hooks. Order them on Amazon if you are a Prime member. I tried ordering them from PBC but the shipping doubled the price. Have fun!

Gotta love ribs on a PBC. I will cook ribs on nothing else. My goto standard rub for ribs is Killer Hogs.

Welcome from north Texas. Enjoy the Pit. I have a PBJ, so I always cut the racks in half. Nice looking bones.

                          Welcome from north Georgia.
I avoid the crispy 'sacrificial bottom rib' situation by hooking under the 3rd rib. The top flops over a little bit, but it's ok. I have also turned the slab over halfway through the cook and hooked them from the opposite end.
                          Enjoy your new barrel!
