Didn't chicken out on the turkey...

The PBC continues to not disappoint. Got perfect ignition.... Hit 315 F, stayed at nearly 300 for an hour and then to averaged 270F for nearly four hours. Total cook time was from 8:30 to 2:00pm. (16.5 lbs of trader Joe's brined all natural turkey). Looks like it was a hit, too. The juciest turkey ever!
    Used:
    Turkey hanger
    Applewood plus cherry

Pit grips are a win, also. Since the turkey was already brined, didn't use PBC Apr... Just olive oil rosemary and thyme.

I will say right here, right now, that my successes are at least in part because of your good works on this forum.

Thanks Dave... And a long overdue thanks to you for recommending the PBC all those moons ago!

And I'm also very thankful to Huskee, Jerod and sooooo many others for their excellent advice! This place offers the most kind and helpful group of people I've ever had the pleasure of corresponding with.

JPP sooooo I'm guessing the PBC took a road trip?? I need a mobile PBC unit, my 2 attached pipes for extra air flow don't travel well. The Auber pipe does fine.

It did indeed... 6:00 am start... Reached the destination at 7:30. Ignition at 7:58... Turkey in place by 8:30. Frankly a pickup might've been better than my Subaru wagon, though :-)
