I say goodbye and I say hello

This post could be in 2 places.
Today I said goodbye to my BlackStone 36”er.

Although I can still visit it. As I traded it with my brothers PBC. And a bunch of Ash which I shall use with my Santa Maria attachment on the Weber Performer.

Reason being is that I have a 17” BlackStone, which I use all the time, it’s just the wife and I, and haven’t used the larger one in 2 years.
And he couldn’t figure out how to tame the PBC.
Soo why not. Right. Click image for larger version

I don't know those PBC's are questionable to say the least. I guess if you sneak it in late at night so nobody sees you.

That’s what I’m thinking. He didn’t like his PBC and I wasn’t using my BlackStone. So Yeah. 👍

              ???
Just ran it tonight and no leakage.
              Seems pretty tight.

Steve B typically if someone can't tame it, it's due to a leaky lid

Not to bad for a first cook. One 4lb chicken. And the temps were pretty steady around 360* Click image for larger version

Looks good! What was the rub?

You'll have fun playing with the PBC. Who doesn't love taking a new BBQ toy for its first test ride. Looks like you did well with that cook. Enjoy.
