Is anyone familiar with a Captiva Designs smoker specifically model E02GR016? I purchased one and was going to assemble it Tuesday but it came with no assembly instructions. Or would you know where to look for them? I have sent them two emails a few days ago and no response. And no phone number to call them. Not a very well run organization.

Well I put together this smoker but very disappointed in it and myself. It is strictly a smoker and you cannot use charcoal in the main unit. I did not know they even made one that way so that is my disappointment. It seems quite tight but overall is much smaller than I would like. Ash pan for side smoker barely holds anything., I have yet to use it as it is snowing today and is still cold weather but I am afraid I will not be happy with this. I did send the company three emails concerning the lack of an assembly manual and never did get any response. I would not recommend this to anyone for the reasons listed.

Yes it could have been a good smoker if they would have made it a little larger and put the coal tray in the main barrel. Then I probably would love it. It is heavier than my cheapo that Meathead rails against so I was trying to replace that one. However I have made some dang good meats and smoked fish on that one over the years.
