As many of you are aware, we recently moved from Chicago to Wisconsin. I am super grateful l got to bring my whole heard of cookers with to this rental town house. I have been rehabbing my rusty Backwoods G2 with a new ash pan and a new panel for the door to the fire box. I am glad they sell those parts!
I finally have a good enough reason to cook a couple of briskets, so I finally get to use it again! It has been at least 4 months since it got any use. Doing an overnight cook on it. I will post pictures in the morning.
I completely forgot to take any pictures until after the briskets were wrapped and one was off. But at least I have proof that this actually happened!

The new door panel I put on. The prior one was developing holes from the rust. Thankfully Backwoods makes these with stainless steel nowadays, so this one should last until more important components rust through. I originally thought I only had 5 years max on this cooker when it got it, but I am hoping that I can get longer now that I know I can buy replacement parts from the manufacturer.
