What is a used Backwoods G2 Worth?

I had a recent post on selecting a new smoker and I had a Backwoods smoker in mind. There were a lot of good suggestions posted and I am still looking at them.

As luck would have it, there is a G2 with casters and ss doors for sale on FB. It is 10 years old but looks good in the picture. The owner is asking $1500 which is way too high in my opinion. I'm thinking it;s worth more around $800 but am not that experienced.

What do you guys think?

There was only one and it didn't show much except that it's pretty clean.

Ask for more pics, generally the ones with only 1 pic are scams

Agreed. A $1500 item should have no shortage of pics. Tread carefully.

Just re-read the specs for the G2 on the Backwoods website. The newer version is much deeper and has more capacity. I think now influences my thinking.

I would be inclined to think $700 to $800 as a new one is $1600.

My thinking exactly. Owner says they are firm on the price so we'll see. Meanwhile there were quite a few suggestions on my first query to follow up.
