Looking at your pic, I can’t see where a deflector would go with the water pan in place. It makes me wonder if the water pan in the pic isn’t a makeshift and not original to the unit. Do you think it could be a replacement for the original deflector and the original water pan?
I have the water pan where the deflector tray usually goes. The water pan fits into the same spot as the bottom rack. My main concern with that is the lip it rests on is the one that is rusted through that I circled in the picture above.
J-Melt could you use three rods of flat pieces of metal to go crossways and rest the water pan on that? I am guessing some form of steel plat could be used for a deflector.
