Won the Weller 12, then the next month, Weller Full Proof. OHLQ runs a bottle lottery n allows you to purch a rare btl at shelf price. Both were under $50 each

I don't drink a lot of straight bourbon, but if I am drinking it on the rocks, I drink Elijah Craig or Wild Turkey. My drink of choice is an old fashioned, and for that I like Old Forester.

There are some might fine whiskeys claiming to be bourbon, bourbon wannabees.
The only real Bourbon comes from Bourbon County Kentucky. IMHO.

Jim Beam Jim Beam® History: Kentucky Bourbons Heritage
                    Old Crow bourbon

My favorite now is BrokeR's a blended American whiskey. Not Bourbon but that's okay with me.

Thank you, I take 3 fingers from any above.

                      FYI
Rye whiskey is not bourbon because the law specifies that it should contain 51% of corn mash. Rye whiskey is made with at least 51% rye mash.

Bourbon is a type of whiskey that must follow six rules to be considered bourbon. It must be made in the U.S., with a grain mixture of at least 51% corn. It must be distilled to no more than 160 proof (80% alcohol by volume), and aged in new, charred oak barrels. It may not enter the barrel at higher than 125 proof (62.5% alcohol by volume), and must be bottled at no less than 80 proof (40% alcohol by volume). If aged under 4 years the age must be disclosed on the label.
For a spirit to be considered Bourbon it must adhere to six standard rules:
                      1. It must be made in the U.S.
                      2. It must be aged in new, charred white oak barrels.
                      3. It must be at least 51 percent corn.
                      4. It must be distilled at less than 160 proof (80 percent alcohol by volume).
                      5. It must enter into a barrel at below 125 proof.
                      6. There can be no artificial coloring or flavor.
