efincoop I definitely recommend the Plantation XO as others had already. We still have a half bottle, but I have been offering it to all guests that I think would enjoy a sipping rum, everyone has enjoyed it.

I bought some 94 proof Kraken black spiced rum for $18. That is a huge amount of delicious flavor at that price and I loved it. Wow. I am definitely going to do some dark rums for a while.Last edited by STEbbq; August 26, 2022, 07:40 AM.

I’m no rum connoisseur, really the only time I drink it is when I’m on vacation in Florida which for some reason triggers the craving. Either way we pretty much stick to Ron Zacapa which is a dark rum. Usually I mix it into some fruity concoction but on the rocks isn’t too bad. Like you I’m used to whiskey on the rocks so rum is quite the change.

I don't do a lot of rum, and usually it's mixed, but I did have a bottle of Flor de Caña 18 year from Nicaragua. I bought it there in the airport, but I have since seen it here and it isn't nearly as expensive as I would have expected. Worth sip or three, I would think.

Ok, well, except my house, of course.
