Watermelon Juleps.
5 watermelon cubes
1/2 oz Simple syrup
1 1/2 oz bourbon
Mint (to taste...I used 5 leaves)
In a mixing glass, muddle the watermelon and simple syrup. Add the mint and continue to muddle gently, bruising the mint.
Pour in the bourbon add ice then strain into an Old Fashioned glass over ice. To make it more "julepy", you can fill the glasses with crushed ice.
It's not really my cup of tea, (little sweet), but the Missus requested one, so I figured that I might as well make two, since I had all the ingredients out.😉

Here's what I make for a cool drink on a hot day.
1/2 full plastic container of orange juice, about 30 oz. add to that
3 oz. gin
3 oz. vodka
3 oz. rum
3 oz. grenadine
3 oz. pineapple juice
Give it a shake and pour over ice. I call it Bill's Boot, because if you have to many of these you'll definitely get a kick in the butt. But it's very refreshing.
