Collette is putting together a Bloody Mary bar for friends on Christmas Eve morning and has quite an array of goodies, it should be pretty fun. We're using Zing Zang BM mix and Tito's vodka, but I have never been a BM mixologist and would like some advice from y'all about booze:mixer ratio. This is a drinkin' crowd (imagine that, my friends being drinkers!) and I'm guessing 1 part Tito's to 2 parts mix, what do y'all think? Here's a pic of most of the ingredients with the addition of our bacon and assorted cheeses TBD the day of:

Classic Bloody Mary
A spicy classic brunch cocktail that’s perfect for any tailgate or Sunday funday. Made with our award-winning Bloody Mary Mix. Ingredients
4 oz Zing Zang® Bloody Mary Mix
1 ½ oz your favorite vodka
Directions
Pour over ice and stir
Add a squeeze of lime
Garnish with celery
I like horseradish in mine. Not a fan of bacon as a garnish for bloodies. Cold soggy bacon is not my thing. Shrimp is great.

CaptainMike That is the starting point. I'd go with 8 oz mix 3 oz vodka over ice in a 16 oz glass and adjust up if necessary. Hell just free pour. As you get into a few it always seems to become more vodka than mix.Last edited by Old Glory; December 23, 2022, 06:18 AM.

I would recommend cutting up a few Jalapeños and steeping them in the vodka to give it a little kick. I used ghost peppers this summer and it turned out awesome.

Well, you mentioned bacon and that is what I was gonna add! The bacon just balances everything out! And if people like pickled asparagus as well as celery. And there are a few bottles back behind, I always like celery salt and some type of hot sauce to add, specifically Cholula for me.
But when we do BM bars, we just let people make there own based on their preference, but Old Glory’s post sounds pretty good too if you decide to make a premade pitcher of BM mix.
Man that sounds fun! Have a ball!

I don't measure and I don't use a mix but I'd say at most 2 parts mixer to 1 part vodka. The intensity of those premade mixers can overcome a LOT of vodka, so pour 'em strong and have a great day!

I like to use a smoked beef stick as an add-in. Also pickled asparagus, pickled green beans, celery stick or just a dill pickle. Try adding a little bit of the pickle juice-really kicks it up. Tabasco, Crystal hot sauce, fresh ground black pepper, basil. Let your creativity flow!
You can probably tell I've had one or two in my life.
