The short answer: yes, absolutely.
Smell doesn’t depend on someone being present to detect it. Odor is caused by volatile chemical compounds released into the air. Those molecules exist whether or not a nose is around to interpret them. So, the bear’s… contribution… would still be producing all the same compounds, drifting through the forest, unappreciated but very real.
