I cook on a 15-year-old Kamado #9, a huge beast nearly 6 feet tall and with black ceramic tile on the outside.
I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds. There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.
Update: my Kamado has been rehomed. A new outdoor kitchen is being built. Main cooker is a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle. Both currently live in my garage and get rolled outdoors to use.
Okay, so for a couple of weeks, a particular Ram Truck commercial has turned up regularly while I've been watching baseball games. One very brief scene kept looking familiar to me, but it always flitted by too quickly for me to get a full look. Tonight I turned on a game I don't care as much about, and the ad was playing. So I backed up on the cable box and stopped at the key moment. The scene is a truck driving down the street in a small town, and one store front just really looked familiar. And it says barbecue, so of course it gets my attention.
And here we have it, paused and blown up:
There we have it, Louie Mueller's front and center in an ad that is getting lots of play on national TV.
Several of the folks at the Texas Meat-Up went there.
Here's a link to the page where wcpreston posted his video review.
Yep, Me and Fiddy Eight went there. Great experience and food! It looks like what an old-time Texas BBQ joint should look like: smoke stained walls, lots of Americana/Texacana stuff on the walls, giant chalk board with all of the offerings, tubs of iced cold drinks, and great staff and fellow diners. I would go back in a minute! And then we took a wrong turn coming back to Rockdale and drove through some beautiful Texas countryside.
The amazing Karubecue is the most innovative smoker in the world. At its crux is a patented firebox that burns logs above the cooking chamber and sucks heat and extremely clean blue smoke into the thermostat-controlled oven. Click here for our review of this superb smoker.
Bring The Heat With Broil King Signet’s Dual Tube Burners
The Broil King Signet 320 is a modestly priced, 3-burner gas grill that packs a lot of value and power under the hood including dual-tube burners that are able to achieve high, searing temps that rival most comparatively priced gas grills. Click here to read our complete review.
