Update. Padnah's Pit is still around and still strong. Alas, Russel Street BBQ didn't make it through The Pandemic, but there are still many good options. Reverend's is still around, too. As is Buster's. Buster's has been around a long time, and is pretty solid for a chain. Best in town, no. But solid. Matt's always has good reviews, but haven't tried it yet. The People's Pig used to be a cart outside my office, but has been a brick-and-mortar for the last decade, so it clearly is doing things "right".
Portland may be a mess, but good folks are still here and the restaurants are still good!
