    Visiting Minnesota

We just got into Minneapolis and will be here a few days then on to Rochester to the mayo clinic for 10 days, anything exciting to see or do? any good barbecue restaurants? The girls want to go to the mall of America. My daughter has been having chronic headaches that we've been unable to diagnose and are hoping to get answers but also have some fun while we're here.

I don't know much about Minnesota BBQ, But have found Famous Dave's to be respectable. I just finished praying for your daughter. May God guide her to healing and wholeness.

I'd try one of these places:

      smokeinthepit.com/index.php
      bigdaddysbbq-stpaul.com

Sorry to disagree with you LA Pork Butt, but Famous Dave's is not that good.

grillinglen Sorry about the weather. It's supposed to pretty rainy for the next few days. Hope you have fun anyway

grillinglen My bro-in-law is going through that with his daughter, my niece, had every scan and test done and no answers. I sure hope you find an answer and relief for her, poor thing. And I'd sure love to know what the root cause is to help my niece as well. Take care!

Hello grillinglen. I have spent some time in Rochester the past couple years. I can't tell you many good BBQ spots there. However try these places. Newt's has several locations in Rochester, locally owned, and huge hamburgers. Canadian Honker is a very good family type restaurant with lots of choices across from St Mary's Hospital. Whiskey Creek is a good place with several choices-maybe even some ribs and salmon etc.. Ask the locals for more information on good places-there are lots more. We did have a bad experience at John Hardys BBQ!! Good luck with your daughter. The Mayo Clinic is a good place. Sending prayers your way too. We are only 100 miles west of Rochester.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker, placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side. Click here to read ourcomplete review.

The Cool Kettle With The Hinged Hood We Always Wanted

Napoleon’s 22″ Pro Cart Charcoal Kettle Grill puts a few spins on the familiar kettle design. In fact, the hinged lid with a handle on the front spins in a rotary motion 180 degrees. It’s hard to beat a Weber kettle, but Napoleon holds its own and adds some unique features to make the 22″ Pro Cart a viable alternative. Click here for more about what makes this grill special.

GrillGrates Take Gas Grills To The InfraredZone

            3 burner gas grill

The Broil King Signet 320 is a modestly priced, 3-burner gas grill that packs a lot of value and power under the hood including dual-tube burners that are able to achieve high, searing temps that rival most comparatively priced gas grills. Click here to read our complete review.
