    Z-Grills buy 1 get 10 grills??

I just came across this deal. I don’t have any experience with Z-grilla. And honestly, this seems like some kind of a crazy ploy. I’m not sure how this makes sense for them financially. Figured I’d put this out there to see other’s thoughts if nothing else!

The odds on them following through on a 50-year commitment to deliver a grill (or 10 in total) every 5 years for $100 shipping fee would be about 0%.

I wonder what they were on when this idea was dreamt up!

Yeah, I wouldn’t count on them being around to deliver on that commitment or change the terms after the fact even if they are….

How true, there’s zero recourse from the purchaser if the terms do change

Here is the catch. Let’s just say the grills fail every three years and you have to pre buy all ten.

You will pay $777 plus $5500 for all ten ($100 + $200 and so on up to $1000 for grill #10) plus $1000 shipping for 10 grills at $100 each. You have now paid $7277 for 11 grills of very poor quality and 33 years or a lifetime of crap equipment.

Oh you’re right, it’s every 5 years, I miss read. I thought the first “free” one was at 10 years after purchase, but it says 5.

I forgot about tax. I suppose if they are all shipping from China maybe you avoid the tax but if not you are probably over $8,000.

Makes me think this promotion should be dated 1 April instead of 6 June...

If you think about it, the deal is effectively betting their smokers are utter crap and fail as fast as possible so the buyer/sucker pays more and more. It’s possibly one of the worst deals ever for the consumer but very profitable for z-grills.

I only had to send $200. for the transfer fee, to get $20,000,000. It was well worth it to me and in fact, I just got a return email from him, it should be here Wednesday.

"Choose from 8 models, subject to availability and advancements."

"Sorry, that model is unavailable - it's been discontinued. No, new models are not part of this promotion. If we happen to find an old new stock model in the warehouse, you'll be first on the list!"

Sounds to me like it's more likely they'll be out of business in 5 years.

The only nice thing I can say about Z Grills is that they now no longer just copy Grilla and Traeger and have about 20 of their own unique models. There are way more reliable budget brands out there that don't have to rely on old school scummy furniture store sales tactics.
