    Blues Hog Sauces

I just found them on the shelves of Wally World. I didn't check size or price, but there were 4 flavors in the squeeze bottles. Might help out those that would normally have to order the brand online due to lack of local sources.

It is a new item according to the associate I talked to about it.

Yes. I got a squeeze bottle the other day. It was a larger bottle and almost $10 so I thought that was about average for the price/product. Makes it easy just to order from Walmart!

I bought the Original in squeeze bottle too, at Ace Hardware last week. About $12 as I recall. I'll look for it the next time I'm at Wally World, $4 cheaper at $8. Thanks for letting us know.

I like that it’s a pretty distinctive sauce, not just a variant on tomato/molasses/vinegar (although it is, it’s still distinctive). But any new sauce purchases are pretty far in the future, I have to cycle through existing inventory first.

I love Blue's Hog sauces. Been buying them from their site for about 3 years now. I use their Champions Blend on the side with my ribs.. people seem to prefer that to the other offerings. Their raspberry chipotle is good on grilled chicken also. I just wish they would develop a good vinegary sauce for Carolina style pulled pork sandwiches.

Not sure if Walmart still has them but they had 3.5 oz. Sample bottles of Blue Hog BBQ sauce for $1. They had 7 flavors. This equates out to 21 oz. for $6.

Here is my post about this.

I saw those in February somewhere while traveling. I used it on a package of Brookhouse sauceless prepared brisket for dinner in my hotel room.

I love their squeeze bottles! All BH has been on the shelf at WM here for a couple of years. Head Country (all flavors) is there too.

Is Head Country any good? It's available in my local supermarket (Shop Rite)

8-10 years ago I would buy a gallon jug of the original and the Tennessee Red from The Kansas City BBQ store each year when they had a free shipping deal in the spring, and I would use them through the summer, usually mixing to make my own version of the Champions Blend. I got tired of taking up a bunch of space in the garage fridge with gallon jugs of sauce though, and stopped buying it a couple of years back.

That original sauce could almost double as pancake syrup, and is way too sweet for my tastes unless I temper it with the vinegar and spice of the Tennessee Red.

Try straining the solids out of Original. It changes the "grab in the back of your throat" thing and smooths out the texture.
