I do have one and I've had issues with it. Others here in the pit haven't had any that I'm aware of.

I bought one off Amazon a couple weeks ago for $49 without any coupon. They must be trying to get rid of them.
Mine worked the first time but not the second. When it did work, the range was very limited. Not very impressed at this point. I'm going to try it again this weekend. If it still doesn't work, it's going back.

I thought when I purchased from Thermopro the included notice said Amazon was no an authorized seller. Something to the effect that may be counterfeit….can’t remember exactly, been a while.

I have two of these bought for the same sale price last fall. They work fairly well. Range for me is acceptable. Accuracy is good enough. I Check with my Thermopen when near being done so I'm backed up.
