It appears the only way I can get it in Appleton, WI is to be a Walmart “subscriber”. That doesn’t seem right to me.

Ordered 10 bags Saturday as I missed out on the last sale. Thanks! My local Ace sells it for about $15 a bag normally.

Tried again this morning and I've got another ten bags coming! Thanks!

It keeps saying unavailable in my area and will not give me the option to order online and have it delivered...I'll try again in the morning and see what happens...

I've struggled to get it this time. I'm in Gasburg Va and finally got through to the order page.
I ended up putting on my "list". Exited out , came back and it worked.

Walmart site could use some work.

ID:	1436157 Looks like the sale is back! But Walmart need to check their math. 17.6 lbs for $9.97 is 56 cents/lb, not 25 cents/lb (maybe they meant to discount it to $4.40??!!)

Maybe I'm just used to Kingsford, but man o' man, does B&B stink to high heaven when it's lighting and burning. It smells like a trash fire to me. Works fine though .

B & B doesn’t stink to me, in fact just the opposite. First time I tried it I was surprised at the lack of an odor compared to KBB. In reality though, I’m sure all charcoal has some type of odor though….it’s burning, things smell when burning.

Panhead John Very interesting; to me B&B is noticeably acrid. I gotta walk away when I light it. Kingsford to me smells gentle and mild, surely this is simply due to a lifetime of being used to KBB and not B&B.

C'mon, Huskee . As a Michigander you are required to say nice things about Kingsford! 😄

B&B is my favorite briquette. Period. Other than being slow to light I love everything about it.

It is slower to light, so I just start a little earlier. Problem solved!

Exactly Steve! When I’m doing a slow cook, I always start my fire an hour before I want to put the meat on. I use a tumbleweed to start a few coals to get fully lit, then close the lid and let the Bronco come up to temp. By that time usually about 45 minutes or so have passed.

Thanks! I've got 10 bags at both houses not to mention various bags of KBB. I'll have to think about this......

Awful smell when starting? Doesn't that smell transfer to the food your cooking? Especially using a minion type method?

I worried the first time I lit it up for my maiden voyage with B&B, although I know many experienced pitmasters love B&B so I was confident it wouldn't affect the food's flavor negatively. It didn't, food tastes exact same as when using Kingsford.

Walmart will not let me buy in my area. Not available in any stores by me.

Yeah, I think I got excited and spoke too soon. Website says it’s unavailable for me too.

Yes, its appears to be available again shipped from Walmart. Last batch shipped from Kansas City, Kansas to So. Calif.

I’m glad I bought 24 bags earlier this year, I’m about half way through them. I’d buy more, but it currently shows my location to be 24 dollars a bag.. who would ever even consider paying that.

                  No.

                  Not yet.

I think KBQ is next if I should ever need to expand.
