Panhead John you are spot on. Their outdoor cooking section is pretty damn incredible. I make sure I only have enough money for the B&B briquettes and some Jealous Devil lump before I even think of going in.

I have never heard of this B and B charcoal. Is this much better than the other brands? I see Kingsford has a two pack of 16lb bags for like 17 bucks for both. That is what I have been using in my stick burner here in Michigan along with some wild cherry or sugar maple. I tried ordering three bags of that but it is not available for us here in Michigan

Are you using the charcoal in your Stick burner mainly to have a bed of coals to light the wood? If so, I wouldn’t worry about trying the B & B, most any charcoal is fine for that. But if you’re gonna use the charcoal as your primary heat source for low and slow cooking, yes, it’s that good!

I too live in Michigan. The orange bag is readily available at Ace hardware. It is my favorite briquette and is perfect for low/slow.

I got my 4 bags. I've never used B&B but it sounds like everyone here likes it over KBB which I have used exclusively. I look forward to trying it.

Pretty sure you’ll like it better than KBB, mainly for low and slow. I’ve noticed it burns cleaner and longer than KBB. The first time I used it, I was surprised at the lack of an odor when lighting it, compared to KBB.
