Was online at Walmart.com recently and they're offering B&B 17.6 lb.bags again of All Natural Oak Charcoal Briquets on sale for $9.97 ea. Since I'm a Walmart+ member, shipping is free. Stock up while you can for $9.97 a bag !
I think B&B Charcoal 20lb bags of Oak Lump are on sale too for $14.97
Still looks like its available online and i can get shipped for free because of being a Walmart+ member. None of my local Walmart's ever carry B&B products in store.
Panhead John - I only bought 2 because I'm gonna follow the recommendation of only using it for L&S, and that doesn't happen often. Just checked and it's not available near me.
Panhead John you are spot on. Their outdoor cooking section is pretty damn incredible. I make sure I only have enough money for the B&B briquettes and some Jealous Devil lump before I even think of going in.
I have never heard of this B and B charcoal. Is this much better than the other brands? I see Kingsford has a two pack of 16lb bags for like 17 bucks for both. That is what I have been using in my stick burner here in Michigan along with some wild cherry or sugar maple. I tried ordering three bags of that but it is not available for us here in Michigan
Are you using the charcoal in your Stick burner mainly to have a bed of coals to light the wood? If so, I wouldn’t worry about trying the B & B, most any charcoal is fine for that. But if you’re gonna use the charcoal as your primary heat source for low and slow cooking, yes, it’s that good!
Pretty sure you’ll like it better than KBB, mainly for low and slow. I’ve noticed it burns cleaner and longer than KBB. The first time I used it, I was surprised at the lack of an odor when lighting it, compared to KBB.
