If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I stopped getting excited about Prime Day(s) years ago. Once you have a kindle, and an Amazon Echo in every room in the house, none of their device deals are exciting. I've got more TV's and computers than I already need.
Now, if they would have an LG OLED 65 inch set for half price or something, that would be something! I *NEED* a TV larger than the current Samsung 51" plasma over the fireplace, now that I've completed my kitchen remodel, and 65" is the max that will fit the area...
My issue is a large space with many off-axis seating areas, and that most sets such as the QLED models drop to about 50% brightness once you are 45 degrees or so off axis from directly in front of the set. I've been hanging onto a couple of 1080p plasma TV's since they stopped making them in 2014, because they have no brightness drop off. OLED is the first technology to *COME CLOSE* to what plasma displays were doing a decade or more ago.
The viewing angle we list is the angle at which a TV's picture quality starts to degrade when it is watched from the side. The viewing angle we list is the angle at which a TV's picture quality starts to degrade when it's watched from the side.
Best discount seems to be Warehouse purchases, just got a $60 animal trap for 36 bucks... gonna hunt for more stuff I need on warehouse instead of hoping for something other than cheap junk to pop up on a sale

Wow! Way to go Dave, someone actually took my advice!?! 😂 You’re gonna love that TV and will not regret it at all. I don’t have the technical expertise Jim does, but I read everything I can about the different TVs and what the experts say about them. I understand a little bit of the technical stuff, but the bottom line is how they perform. All the experts rate an OLED as the best picture quality out there….period. [that’s available for the average consumer]
Jim is correct about the viewing angles on an OLED compared to the LCD displays. I had a 58†Panasonic plasma before I got the LG. It had a great and almost perfect picture from any seat in the house. When I first got my OLED after selling my plasma, I was amazed at the difference in picture quality of the LG. I thought it might be a "little" better, but it was a lot better, and plasma was the bomb back in the day. The OLED TV’s also have near perfect picture quality for any off axis viewing. I have a 48†LG OLED in my bedroom also. Before that I had an LG IPS panel TV, similar to an LCD. Any time I’d move away from the center viewing angle, the picture quality got worse, the farther off to the side I viewed it. This does not happen with OLED.
Anyway hoovarmin ,from one enabler to another…..congratulations on the purchase! If you have any questions after you’ve installed it, hit me up, I’d be more than happy to help.

I’d bet you really don’t have to do too much bribing. Just an FYI, but the LG does have 120 hz refresh rate also. Your football will look great with this TV. If this interests you, here’s a review from CNET of the LG you just bought.
Yeah - I'm holding onto a 51" plasma in the den (Samsung) and a 52" plasma in my home-office (LG) until I can afford to spring for one of those OLED displays. I keep looking at the TV displays, and walking around to look at them from angles, and know I won't be happy with a $500 65" after being used to the plasma for 15 years.
I exaggerated a little, but $39.99 for the original is a darned good deal! https://snsgrills.com/collections/sl...ts/slow-n-sear (https://snsgrills.com/collections/slow-n-sear/products/slow-n-sear)
Not sure if everyone received our Smoke Signals newsletter yesterday but I found a few good smoker and grill Amazon Prime Day deals that should be valid through midnight today. Check out the newsletter and the links at https://myemail.constantcontact.com/...id=VWM16sLzfPI
