For the Whirly Birders - Turbo Trusser 20% Off Thru 11/29

At Turbo Trusser, our mission is to create simple, durable BBQ accessories that make cooking easier, more flavorful, and more enjoyable for everyone. We believe that great food brings people together, and our affordable and innovative cooking accessory helps to make that a reality. It's really that simple!

Discount will show in cart. I just got one of each of the Turkey and Chicken Turbo Tussers for myself last week before the discount was announced. I haven't tried them yet, but these look pretty slick. I'm planning on trying out the Turkey Trusser in just a couple days

I too kicked myself checking my email this morning and also plan on testing mine out on Thursday.

I started to the same, then quickly realized it’s one of the smaller BBQ purchases I made this year so missing out on saving a few extra buck wasn’t a big deal.

    One word for this, "Spatchcock"
Happy BBQ to you and Spatchcocking too.

I spin 80-90% of the time. Rotisserie is mighty tasty.

I usually spatchcock or even halve birds, but options are nice too for variety.

That's neat, but I never truss a bird.

I will be interested in your thoughts. I haven’t really thought about trussing a bird for ages as I am usually spatchcocking or this year splitting into parts to roast and sous vide separately.

String has the advantage of being disposable.

They look cool. Another weapon for the arsenal.

Cool and made in the USA. I'll get some. Thanks for sharing!

I didn’t report back on this like I should have. My turkey lost a hand somewhere in combat, so I had to improvise and string in an artificial hand, then when I had to recenter my bird at show time, I either didn’t get a set screw tight or tightened down on a corner of the spit rod. If it weren’t for the turbo trusser, Turkey day probably would have been an epic fail actually. With a full bird, I think these would be great.

Trussing a bird for spinning's not that hard. I'll stick to string and not add more clutter to the drawer.
