I am disappointed that they didn't work on the display nor did they put magnets in the case! The Brits must feel that the 1 second technology is protected!
Should I preorder? Probably not, I have two of the old models plus three others from competitors. Plus we all know that they'll be on sale soon enough. They cannot escape the "Sears, Roebuck and Company" sales and pricing model that they've employed in the past few years!
I have the Thermopen Classic, the Thermopen Mk 4, the Chef's Alarm, and the Smoke. I;ve been using these products for years, and I can say, without reservation, that they are high quality products all. The price you pay for any of them will be forgotten long before the memory of their performance!
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.
