    Meat Your Maker!....Chamber Vacuum sealer

So I took a chance and just purchased a New to market MEAT brand chamber vacuum sealer and thought I would share some info. Made with meat uses direct to consumer marketing to sell at a lower cost, and they claim to have a limited lifetime warranty as long as it is not used for commercial use.
So far I am very pleased with how well built and quiet it is and compared to my FoodSaver, I love how much better it seals the bags with a wide 5mmm seal bar and the cost of pre made bags are about $0.05 each which are a considerable savings. These are distributed through AOB Products Company.
    Some specs:
    Internal dimensions for our Chamber Sealer are: (11.81” x 13.78” x 4”)
Maximum Bag Width is 300mm (11.81”)
    Sealing Width – 5mm
External dimensions for our Chamber Sealer are: (16.73”x 14.17” x 14”)
    Weight is approx. 65lbs
    Motor: 950W w/oil pump
The pump is a rotary screw style pump
    Sealing bar, 300mm (11.81”)

Time will tell, I am a little nervous about replacement parts since it does not list them as being able to purchase but it is supposed to be a limited lifetime warranty. Webstaurant has parts and pumps that looks similar so we shall see.

Not heard of them. Looks great and a great price for a chamber sealer.

A little pricey for me. Looks like a beast of a machine though.

Uncle Bob Thanks for that information, I get what you’re saying about the bag width 👍

Are these just used to preserve food or are they useful in some technique of food prep. I seem to recall that Nathan Myhrvold (spelling?) had something in Modernist Cuisine about it them a few years ago.

Mainly for preserving, and packaging food to cook Sous Vide, Also used for quick pickling.

It looks expensive compared to your average FoodSaver, but when I think about what I spend on bags, this thing might just end up being a good bargain. Thanks for sharing!

Hello all' it's been a while, so I thought i would come back with an update on my Made With Meat brand vacuum sealer I bought in December of 2020 sold by American Outdoor Brands "AOB" and their customer service.
It has been 4 years now and approximately 3000 bags later, man I love this thing and I do use this almost daily. I was sealing up some venison burger when it quit sealing the bag and looked like the seal bar wire strip had a dark spot on it which i assumed burnt. I had contacted customer service by email requesting a new seal bar and got an automatic reply with a case number. Since i was in a hurry to use it to finish processing my venison. I looked online for a replacement sealing bar as Made With Meat products does not show parts. I found Webstaurant brand VacPak-It Ultima UVMC12 parts which looks identical so I took a chance and purchased a VacPak-It 186PSEALBAR5 12" Seal Bar for $26.49 and it worked perfectly. After a couple days I returned an email for status asking for pictures of the damaged part for their records and a mailing address in which i sent. a few days later I received a tracking number and a couple days later UPS dropped off a large box, They replaced the entire machine with a new one that said one time free of charge. Now how is that for customer service!
For future reference It also appears that Webstaurant carries all the replacement parts for the VakPak-It unit that appears to be the same as this unit.

Yes it is heavy with actual weight of 58lbs . 65 must be shipping weight.

I have been very impressed, and use it daily. Every thing I make gets sealed in individual bags for meal prep. I will buy 10 lbs of bone in chicken breast, dry brine for a day or two of course and grill them up, seal in 6"x8" bags and freeze for lunches. I buy my bags from Waltons at about $.03 per bag, $65/2000 Vs foodsaver premade pint bags at about $.44 cents per bag, $12.47/28. They are sale right now for $749 but IMHO the savings on bags will pay for it.

Thank you for the update. I have a Vacmaster 115 that quit sealing- not the sealing bar but instead a computer board problem that is no longer available . I bought a cheap impulse sealer to get me thru but loose some of the vacuum in the process of moving the bag. I sure wish I had bought from a company that would have access to parts for more than 5 years.
I put your post in my favorites to keep the information, so I can go to your maker when mine quits vacuuming for good. Thanks again.

That is too bad, Webstaurant has a lot of parts, I'm curious if a different model would still use some of the same parts? Might be worth looking into? I'm sure there are many different brands using the same parts.

Thank you Powersmoke_80. I did look around but will try again when the weather warms up and I can take the heavy thing apart outside and leave it for a few days. I live with my sister's family so don't have much room in the house to take it apart.. I did so a couple of years ago and got it to work .. but just for a couple of months. I think it has 2 computer boards and one is the culprit- maybe a loose wire .. You have encouraged me. Thank you again.

I wasn't aware until looking at these pics that Meat Your Maker was an AOB brand. I was skeptical about them but my buddy recently got their 1HP grinder and it is a freaking BEAST, and now knowing they are AOB, I'm more willing to support them. I see them all over on social media, every major YouTuber has been sent their grinding and stuffing gear to use in their videos, so I knew they had a big market push going on. Sometimes this means they're 'overcompensating' and are shite - but in this instance, I think at least that grinder we are using is a serious piece of equipment. I like supporting brands that support my ideals, as well. So it makes me feel better about buying from them. I'll probably buy my own grinder at some point, don't want to lug 56 lbs of grinder back and forth from his house just to do a couple of pounds of meat.

<edit> BTW, AOB is American Outdoor Brands for anyone who doesn't know:
                  Schrade
                  Uncle Henry
                  Old Timer
                  Caldwell
                  Tipton
                  Frankford Arsenal
                  Thompson/Center
Smith & Wesson (and associated subbrands)
                  Crimson Trace
                  Laserlyte

                  and...

                  Grilla Grills!

And now, of course, Meat Your Maker!
