Has anyone used one of these chamber sealers from Avid Armor or Vevor? I am getting tired of my Food Saver sealers and heard the chamber sealers were the way to go. I noticed the Avid Armor sell for around $500 to $600 versus some of the other machines that are $1k plus.

Take a look at this thread:
Up until August 2017 I had a Food Saver Vacuum Sealer that lasted well over 10 years. Then I vac sealed a bag of corn cut off the cob and drowned the innerworkings by mistake. So I
I have an Avid Armor 32 and really like it. If some of the oil pump ones weren’t so heavy and hard to move around I would probably have bought one of those instead, but have no complaints about what we ended up purchasing a few years ago.

More Cast Iron than I care to admit
As mentioned the thread on sealers is probably the overall best thread here in The Pit. I have Avid Armour but not the chamber vac. Very very solid stuff and highly recommend.

Lone Star Grillz 24 X 48 Offset
I have the Vac-Master VP215 chamber sealer and I love it. Heavy and expensive but it seals better than anything else I have used. I got it probably 10 years ago, now and it is still going strong.

I have the Avid Armour chamber sealer, the USVX, I got about a year ago when my old FoodSaver was getting wonky. I like the AA, but I can't say I love it. I don't think it takes as much air out as the FoodSaver. I have gone through the instructions, watched the YouTube videos, been quite careful to place the edges of the bags in correct position, used the AA bags, and still it seems "loose air" is in the bags, where my FoodSaver sucked it all out. I'm well past the time I could return it, but I'm not that happy given how many people here love theirs. I do like that I can seal Mason Jar lids easily, and although I have never used for liquid yet, it's on my list. Still, not entirely happy here. Just to throw a wrench in the works....

Lone Star Grillz 20x36 offset
Weber 26" kettle
PK Classic
Weber Genesis gas grill
Lodge Sportsman Grill
Weber Smokey Joe Silver
Smoke Hollow 44 gas smoker
Cheapo Brinkmann charcoal smoker with DIY propane conversion
I replaced my Foodsaver with the Avid Armor USV32 within the last year, and I'm very happy with it. The only down side is the size limitation of the chamber, but the consistency and reliability is a whole new world compared to how frustrating the FS one was.
