    Electrolux is Buying Anova

This is a big week in Anova's history

This is a big week for the Anova family, our loyal #anovafoodnerd community, and for the smart kitchen. Earlier this week, we announced that we will be acquired by Electrolux.

Anova will continue to have its own brand identity and we'll operate as an independent company. We'll run Anova like we've always run Anova - Our mission of helping people cook like a pro will just accelerate. We love being a part of people’s lives and this will give us a way to reach more lives, faster.

To learn more, check out my blog post announcing the acquisition and the video below from Electrolux CEO, Jonas Samuelson.

Electrolux has their eye on the ball for quality, and even for innovation. I have one of their Swedish-made stand mixers, and its killer. Most of their products get great ratings on reviewed.com. Guess we'll see! Good luck Anova folk!

Big things came with the announcement - a cheaper device this summer as well as an Anova countertop oven for searing.

Demonstrates the mainstreaming of SV. It's quite an accomplishment for the Anova folks, going from a Kickstarter (not even the first in category, but clearly superior to the original Nomiku) to the dominant brand to being part of a major appliance company. I think it will only serve to improve the consistency of the devices, and broaden the offering. Though you could already pick up an Anova at Target, so I dunno how much broader they need to be.

          • Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.

So does that mean that the Anova that I have brand new still in the box never been used will be a collectors item? 😁

Does that mean that we'll have an appliance that can both vacuum and cook our dinner? Wouldn't that be handy?

tbob4 My brain can't take the anova precision oven. The website (https://anovaculinary.com/introducin...recision-oven/) says it will do all of the following:
          • Sous vide
          • Steam cooking
          • Searing plate
          • Convection bake
          • Broil
          • Communicate with your Precision Cooker
          • Coordinated cooking cycles
How is it going to do all of that and how am I going to justify to myself not needing one!?!?!?

If you have a Weber Kettle, you need the Slow 'N' Sear

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

        Placeholder

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Griddle And Deep Fryer In One

        Placeholder

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!

The Cool Kettle With The Hinged Hood We Always Wanted

        Placeholder

Napoleon's NK22CK-C Charcoal Kettle Grill puts a few spins on the familiar kettle design. In fact, the hinged lid with a handle on the front, spins in a rotary motion 180 degrees. It's hard to beat a Weber kettle, but Napoleon holds its own and adds some unique features to make the NK22CK-C a viable alternative.
