I got a Tappecue as a Christmas present from my wife several (many?) years ago. It's never been used, to my wife's chagrin. Does anyone here have any experience with the Tappecue?

Current line-up of cookers: Oklahoma Joe's Bronco Pro, Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050, Blackstone ProSeries 4 Burner 36" griddle, Weber Performer Deluxe and Weber Smokey Joe.
I once had what was probably the model before that one. It never should have been on the market at that time. Very buggy, and the customer service was even worse. The lady I mainly dealt with (I think she was/is the boss) automatically assumed every problem was user error, then we would go back and forth until finally I would get the new replacement probe or whatever that I needed. I finally got tired of being a paying beta tester and sold the thing on eBay.
I really wanted to like the company and its product, but
to Crappecue from me.

Smoke Hollow 44" Propane
Tappecue Wifi Thermometer
Not Enough Free Time
btuckertx I used to have the version before yours, and currently have the same version you do. I just finished using it and their Cruise Control fan on my Primo to smoke a couple chuck roasts.
My experience has been the exact opposite of Steve R. The few times I’ve needed customer service, they were always quick and friendly. At least once I talked with the lady who owns/runs it. She was great. Maybe I just have better timing or better luck 😁.
The first version did have a few glitches, but at the time it was the first Wi-Fi thermometer available. They might have been pushing that version out a bit before it was ready.
The current Touch version, like what’s in your picture, hasn’t caused me any more problems that any average piece of electronic equipment.
I’ve been pleased with the thermometer, the fan, and even their wireless thermometer.
