    It's good you prefer wooden boards, they're more safe than plastic ones. I have Winco board 20x16, I ordered it from here https://mcdonaldpaper.com/kitchen. I'm pretty pleased with the quality and price. As for the preservation, I use mineral oil. Also you can use coconut, walnut or almond oils. And buying two boards is a great idea indeed.

      I have one of the larger Boos boards, it barely fits on top of the refrigerator. It has the liquid grooves. It is my break down board then I have a couple of smaller 10x17 or around that, used for other uses both have the grooves on 1 side to catch juices. Go with the best you can, keep them oiled with mineral oil, I use the Boos oil shown above, and they will last forever.

      Good knives, good boards make easy cutting.

          I made a few this spring using Maple end grain and made a few serving trays as well. My kids loved them and took them so now I have none! Another project this winter!

            I have a whole hog board to make but after that I could make you something. It doesn't have to be as elaborate as the one pictured.
