You know, I have cutting boards with grooves, but those even tend to overflow. I've got all the tools and technology to make my own cutting board, and put a groove in it on my router table. I just haven't ever thought to do so, out of sheer laziness. My board grooves usually overflow and I'll start mopping up the counter with paper towels, or putting a sheet pan underneath.

I like that Zilling one with the tray that Mosca shows.

Attjack here is a shot of one of my boards in the jig. It’s not screwed down yet. But this works great.

You can't beat it. I wish I could find where I got the plans for this jig. Now that I am far enough in the weeds, I can make it off the top of my head, but I wish I could find the original plans so I could share it here.

I have a Catskill wood cutting board. It has a deep moat.
Bought it online from Home Depot.

I use the hillbilly version: I just place my cutting board in an oven pan. Makes my life so much easier when I smoke a brisket for example.

Is it pretty? No. Do I put this on the table for serving? Nope. But for slicing up brisket or beef shoulder or similar cuts it really gets the job done.

But yes, a cutting board with deeper grooves and some kind of collecting juices container would be nice. The Swilling product looks great.
