If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Dutch oven cooking recipes and advice for everyone
Obviously you won't be setting this in charcoal and piling it on the lid, but maybe you can find some meal ideas there. I use my Lodge for stews, chili, soup, boiling stuff, deep frying, big messes of queso, in the kitchen and on the grill. Can you do that stuff in a crock pot? Sure. I prefer the dutch oven though, and you can bake some awesome stuff in a dutch oven.
