Seeing the SMG posts inspired me to get mine back out. I love this thing but I haven't used it in a good while so I took it on vacation with me a couple of weeks ago. Nothing like grilling at the log cabin by the river...

Sounds like I need to save up for a cabin by the river to go with my SMG!

It had been a while since I fired up the Hibachi, so last night I decided to do so. Once again, I forgot how fun this thing is to grill on. Just a simple meal, burgers and a skillet of mushrooms, scallions, fresh garden herbs and peppers. All fried in some ghee butter. On the Kamado Joe Jr. I had a skillet of sprouts, chopped bacon and pine nuts. I usually cap the skillet for the first part of the cook, just to get the ghee to melt down through the mushrooms. Then I remove it altogether. Man this was a fun cook!

These really are a blast to cook on! I have been using mine a lot more lately. I just grilled some fresh ground burgers over the weekend while I had a low and slow cook going in my Big Joe. I love this thing more and more every time I use it.
