Greetings, everyone! I was really jazzed upon receiving the email yesterday with the news that I had won the Grand Prize! Since then things have changed a bit, so I am claiming the Second Place prize, the Porter Road Gift card.
After my shouting and celebrating had subsided, my wife reminded me that I needed another cooker like the proverbial hole in the head. As usual, she was right.
As part of my retirement, we had moved into a 1400 sq. ft. triplex unit in a large over-55 HOA community. So, no yard, and only a 10x15 ft deck. for outside space. Since then I had used up one of the original painted PBC cookers when the bottom rusted out. I replaced that with a Grilla SilverBac, and added one of the copper enameled Weber kettles, which now sports a cast iron SnS Drip and Griddle. A huge Brinkmann gasser moved here with us, one of the very solid and heavy framed ones, but it was way too big for the two of us, and taking up a lot of deck space. The Brinkmann was pushed out to the curb and replaced with the MHP JNR gas grill last summer, the very model offered in the Grand Prize selections.
So! I proposed to Huskee a trade with BBQandLove and he accepted! Hopefully a happy outcome for all!
