    PitCast Episode 126 - The New "Huskee" Interview - September 27, 2018

Huskee stopped by the studio to give us some forum updates, talked stats and member numbers, why people don't renew memberships, what percentage of folks lurk vs post and we also hit on a brisket method I just heard about...all fun!! ENJOY!

I'm surprised that Mr. Benander didn't break you of that habit in speech class!

Beefchop Good ol' Mr Benander! No, I don't do it when giving talks/speeches, (that I know of), only conversation apparently. Did you know he passed away a few years ago? He was one of my 3 most influential high school teachers. Ms Laitner was another. I had her in elementary school for music and high school for American Lit. Will always remember her.

Huskee I did hear that he passed and regret that I wasn't able to make it home for the funeral. I agree with you on his being an influential teacher! I had the privilege of impersonating him at one of our assemblies. Ms. Laitner was also a wonderful teacher!

It was another good pitcast. I do look forward to a followup wings pitcast with those guys and others (maybe even with Spinnaker). It would also be great to have one on pizza.

I’ve wrapped brisket and chuck early around 150F and what I got was pot roast. Good but not the same. I certainly don’t understand this one.

That's what I was trying to diplomatically say myself. Perhaps the judges were pot roast & minimal smoke flavor fans? Ya got me.

Another great show BBQCentralShow & Huskee ! Crap, now I have pizza on the brain and will have to try to figure out how to fit into this weekend's menu.

About the splitting the brisket, I have tried doing it a few times and I felt kind of dirty doing it, like I was cheating or something. I didn't tell anyone for fear the BBQ gods would strike me down and I would be banished to a room where all they do is boil the ribs. Thank you for rescuing my BBQ soul.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know I'm behind on listening. I promise I will be all caught up by Christmas. In the mean time, keep up the good work!
