    PitCast Episode 91 - The "fracmeister" interview - January 25, 2018

Please welcome fracmeister to the hot seat on this week's PitCast! Houston livin', brisket cookin' and a petroleum engineer to boot! Before get to the interview, I hit the news desk and tell you a story about how people love to eat meat...but also agree that there should be a ban on slaughter houses...because THAT makes sense!!

👍👍👍👍👍 Great Interview Nathan❗️ It's to bad we Don't Have a Need for Petrochemical Engineers in ND❓ You could move Here and Teach Us How to BBQ❗️
Nathan, Fargo is About 100 Miles East of US 281 and about 1200 Miles North for Your Info❗️ For Many Years Farm Wife Skillet BBQ (Church) was Cast Iron Pan Browned Hamburger, Onions, and Tomato Sauce, Paste or Catchup, Seasonings Were Optional (But Frowned Upon)❓ Fortunately I Had the Opportunity to Sample from Different Parts of the Country Including Yours and Thanks to Greg Rempe, BBQCentralShow, "The Pit Club" and Meathead and AmazingRibs.Com We Can Share with One Another,
    👍👍👍👍👍 🤗😇🤗‼️

I mentioned in the interview that I learned the blowtorch deal from a St Louis rib joint. The name is Bogart's BBQ and it was great. I wasnt a fan of their beans but the rest was great

              Great interview!

Opera? I have never been to one, but I would love to check one out someday. How popular is it in the state of Texas?

I will second you on the trip to Lockhart, TX. I love that place. It is like a BBQ oasis in Texas Hill Country. Black's was probably my favorite place.

I still use the, "I cooked, You clean!" trick myself. I especially love this one on the holidays.

Ranch Kettle? That thing is an absolute beast!!! Great for entertaining. We used to use one of those up at camp to rip burgers and hotdogs. I have great memories using that sucker. How does it run when you are using it for low and slow?

I remember seeing a post where you were talking about using that blow torch to sear your ribs. Next time you have that baby out, make sure to get the camera out. I was always afraid that my food would take up the gas flavor. Although, I remember you saying you have never had that problem.

As for the first national bank, I am with you. I want a Kalamazoo too!! (Don't we all) The craftsmanship is gorgeous. So much stainless that I don't know what I would do. I am torn between that Kalamazoo and the Grill Works set up. Although I do need YS640 comp cart, at some point.

This was a great interview! Thank you for taking the time!

OK, here is the blowtorch for the ribs

                    (before the ranch kettle)

Also a pig pull at Church when I lived in CHina

                    The best video

And finally a very different way to make turkey

Hey fracmeister, you should check out that Uuni Pro - 4 fuels and big enough to do roasts, bake breads, and do pizza!

The Houston Opera is one of the top operas in the country. The Met in NYC is hands down the best, but we are up there with Chicago, San Francisco and ahead of most of the others. Dallas and Fort Worth have fine operas as well. I posted some videos of the blow torch below. If I ever move I am getting the Kalamazoo.
