Amen amen amen on the BBQ brush risk. Just this past Thurs when prepping the smoker for a rib cook my fairly new 'good' brush was shedding bristles and one got shoved into my finger when scooping up dust in the bottom of my offset barrel, and I was wearing gloves. I had a dot on my fingerprint, point of entry, and a dot on my nail, and it was quite the process to pull it back out. I assume it went through to my nail. Nearly ruined my day. And this was a 'new' brush.
