I am a huge Adam Ragusea fan. He is a former NPR reporter and former professor of journalism at Mercer College in Georgia who has found a third career in food-related YouTube videos. His journalism background really sets him apart from his peers.
This past week he published a really enjoyable and informative 11-minute video on Liquid Smoke: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwZjknehxxQ
Anyone on this site would really enjoy it. I learned some things I didn't know. He goes into the chemistry, the legal battles over what it is and is not, and even how to make it yourself (complete with failed attempts).
Very cool stuff.
(The video does have about a one-minute ad in the middle, which you can skip over, but do watch his transition into it. Adam is known for his clever and often humorous segues into the advertisements.)
