Sprayers are a sore issue with me. Most are probably fine using water based stuff. But if want to use one with vinegar you need to be careful. If the sprayer is not made for this the vinegar will react with the components in the sprayer and I am not sure that what comes out of the sprayer is what you want to consume if you get my meaning. Cheap is usually a sign that it is not.

    IowaGirl what do you think?

You may have a point. I use one of those in my garden to spray pesticides. It has rubber components that prevent leakage. Vinegar may react with those, not sure. Those are good sprayers, just not sure for spritzing bbq.

It's hard to know if this sprayer will tolerate an acid solution for long. The acetic acid in vinegar is a relatively mild acid, but I've had the same experience other have had with sprayers not working well when I ask them to spray solutions that are acidic or alkaline. Also anything that contains solids, even fine solids like powdered spices. I also would like to see a sprayer for food use have an NSF stamp or otherwise be tested for safe use with foods.

If it is not food grade then I wouldn't use it. I use Malcom Reed's sprayer which he uses with vinegar based sprays.

That be a good idea. May have to get one. Any problem with the viscosity of the sauce and seasoning being spraying?

What lostclusters said. I bought this and put in a homemade vinegar based bathroom cleaner. First time I used it, it was amazing!
Next time I went to use it, the vineyard destroyed the spray thingy.
And JimLinebarger said, make sure it’s food grade.

tenphases thanks for posting - obviously getting mixed feedback, but I hope you don't take it personally.

I have these glass spray bottles that I have bought several of. I have 1 for BBQ spritz with vinegar and sugar - I leave it filled all the time (for a couple years I think) and it's never let me down. I label them clearly because I also have 1 with plain water, and then for household cleaning I have 1 with hydrogen peroxide and 1 with bleach - definitely do not want to mix those up.

They aren't the cheapest, but quality is excellent.

Even if you decide to go to a food grade one for somethings, there are a lot of uses for the one you showed. I use one to hold oils for re-seasoning my pits.

Watch out for the paybacks. Kids are pretty resourceful.

My dad used to chase us with squirt guns, wake us up with spray bottles. He was very playful. Thank you for that memory 💕💕💕

Have a spray attachment with a silicone sleeve instead of threads, can fit any bottle. Wife uses it with a jug o bourbon to water me from across the room...

I use the cheapo $0.99 spray bottles I buy in the grocery store. They last about 8-10 months or so. I get the 3 pack so I'm good for nearly 3 years for $3 bucks. But that's me, I'm a cheap bastard
